Likely you will receive other responses on this
which may be more coherent than mine. The thing that
sounds a bit odd here is the "deposit contract with them
ends at the end of this month". First I have ever
heard of a ?deposit contract?. Most have put down a
deposit, gotten a PR#, waited for the car, got a few
goodies from Toyota while waiting, then got the car IF
the order was actually entered which if done
correctly always results in a valid PR#.
Do you have a
PR#, that is a Purchase Request Number? If not, I
would suggest that these folks are trying to pull a
number on you. Have you received an e-mail from Toyota,
an owner's manual, anything? while waiting for this
vehicle. A Purchase Order Number would at least indicate
that the dealer actually, in fact, really ordered the
vehicle.
The offer to sell you a car off the shelf,
right now, lends further suspicion.
What is the name
of the dealer and where are you
located?
Something just doesn?t sound right.
