Field offices formally notified of pricing and timetables today.....when and how the dealers are notified is up to the 12 regional offices.....If I were a betting person I would say the '02 site will be up on 6/1...mid-morning on west coast time...So Burns, flog me if the date pushed back a week or so, primarily due to the reason described....But I think perspective customers will be please with the pricing and features - MJclements on training dealers in Indy in the art of PR and interview....it is very difficult to control with 1200 dealers....Sometimes we are notified by the media or dealer of the request - other times the dealers respond directly on their own....when notified we can either support by doing it or coaching....for all dealers we provide Q & A and resources, but it only works if some one actually reads its...kind of like owners manuals....Trenton challenge, you guys bring tears to my eyes....PM's has all sorts of relatives in Trenton...grandparents used to live on commonwealth Ave just a block from St. Francis Hospital....Don't give up hope on Prius in Cal's HOV lanes.....I think a prius owning cal congressman may intro a bill.....Toyobri at McGeorge....how do you want me to contact you?...Per Mike CO2 in OR - The Euros actually wanted Prius with a diesel....because of the taxes and acceptability/performance of diesel in Euro..Prius a tougher sale over there - which is a reason we can get a few more out of them from time to time to cut into the waiting list...Also saw a presentation last week from the Cal. Energy Commission folks on proposed incentives....they had some neat charts on how much gasoline would be saved if everyone drove a Prius in the subcompact segment, etc....I'll see if I can post them later in the week......PM

If not, maybe Dave can mail them to the mailing list he's been collecting.

Robert Snyder
NJ-PIKACHU

Per Peter (mo_mpg), maybe it's time for me to dust off my old tagline:

Hey Toyota - Make more hybrids!

>So Burns, flog me if the date pushed back a week >or so, primarily due to the reason described....

Good grief, Pman, why would I flog you? We all appreciate it that you tell us as much as you can when you can! I tend to be strongly influenced in purchases by how available people and info relating to the product are on the internet. This is the first time I've ever seen ANYTHING like this in a car in a car company!

Anyway, thanks again for the info. You'll see my order on Friday, assuming my dealer is up to speed that soon. Actually my dealer may change depending on who is up to speed...

Burns
Just dreaming of driving it

good day sir-

brian@... will do it. Also toll free 1-800-5TOYOTA

Now that the waiting is almost over (for all the missing features) It seems like I've very little to fuss about now. I guess I would've really had a lot to say a few months ago when I was losing customers because I could'nt answer what should have been simple questions. It's been a somewhat frustrating ride- but it's going to get a lot better here real quick. Thanks PM

Thanks

toyobri
