The "check engine light" has been on constantly for about two weeks with no sign of problems (125K mi). Two days ago it became difficult to start in the morning only, and today it will not start at all, although it turns-over. Batt & Alt appear fine; connections have also been checked. A buddy of mine mentioned the O2 sensor, but that was just a guess on his part...HELP!

Thanks

Drag it to a parts store and have the codes pulled, what you should have done while it was still running.

You should have had the error codes pulled when the check engine light came on. It's telling you something is going wrong. Now you need to have it towed to a shop, or buy a code reader for $80.

You can have any repair facility with an OBD II scan tool check your vehicle's computer and receive a report on the code or codes that are causing the Check Engine Light to come on. They can also turn the Check Engine Light off and clear the codes after they have been recorded. The Runner wont let you down!

I found some great info at www.buyingadvice.com
