Hey All,
Following is an exerpt from an email to a member of this and/or one of the members of the other two Toy/Celica clubs I belong to under Yahoo Clubs. It isn't a Toy or Celica tid-bit, but it was amusing to me and I had to share it.
CelicaMon

~~~
I've noticed a strong influx of popularity in putting wings on cars -- hondas mainly, but I've seen 'em on BMWs, even a huge one on a dodge neon (that one was hallarious). I don't know why this is going on -- a west coast thing, folks getting into street racing, the new angle following all the ganger lowered cars, I don't know. Anyway, yesterday I saw the most ridiculous one yet. A newer white Nissan 900ZX (or someting like that). The car that looks very areo dynamic on the hood/roof/rear hatch, but not the sides. Anyway, the person had a wing on in. A real tech one, matching white...... What was funny is that he had it on top of the wing that comes STOCK ON THE CAR!!! I could hardly drive straight as I passed him in my rusty '77 Celica GT hatch.
That is funny to see and I bet the guy driving it thinks he is so cool!!!!
I can appreciate a nice body kit but some spoilers coming out in the market are so rediculous.
One time I saw a car, at first I thought it had a roof rack and when I got closer, it was the spoiler and it was so high that it's over the roof. And again, he thinks he was cool!!!!
Anyway, be safe out there and beware of these looneys!!!!
Yeah, it was bad. On the same trip I saw a hipster driving a Ford Exploder with low-profile highly chromed rims. OK, the vehicle ain't that "cool" in the first place, its a Ford, and those wheels just looked really bad on there. And this fella had his whole hep mack-daddy cel-phone hat-sideways get up on.... and then some Whinney the Pooh air freshner haning from the rear-view mirror. Yeah, that looks tough, ganger wanna-be.
It is dangerous for me to drive -- I can't see the road from laughing so bloody much.
As for finding the looneys, all I have to do is look in a 3-way mirror.
