OK, had the local parts house check my codes,
here is what it reads:
** air/fuel too lean, check sensor bank one
**
I replaced the o2 sensor @ bank one {that's the one before the cat.} reset cumputer, {removed postive cable"),
went for a test drive and the check engine light came back on.
ok, went back to parts place and had it checked again, still getting same code, " ** air/fuel too lean, check sensor bank one"
this time it was reset by the scan tool.
shortly after once again the light came on again.
wtf ?
any ideas?

What was the exact code number? Did you just put in a K&N air filter? Running lean maybe a sign of a dirty MAF sensor. Try cleaning that out and see if that clears the CEL.

sorry did not write down the code #... but will try again and write it down...and report.
Also the air filter is a stock one and the mas air has been changed.

here is an update: found out today that it is the wrong sensor I recieved... I need the air/fuel sensor before the cat... what the sent me was an 02 sensor...
will update once installed...
