New to me, 01 Taco 2 WD, 4 cyl, issue regarding braking. Feels like the rear end tries to catch up, almost a "thump" when coming to a quick stop.
Truck was owned by a business woman, no off road, no towing, etc. 88K miles, truck is perfect. I had tranny fluid flushed at dealer, they said truck didn't need anything other than fuel inj service.
Any thoughts on the braking issue, it stops fine, but feels a bit strange. What other maintenance should be done at this point?
Is rear differential fluid changed with a transmission flush?
What plugs or Tune up kit should I purchase?
Any thoughts appreciated, I spent 10 years in a Nissan truck, back to a Toyota. Obviously, I know very little about maintenance, so please excuse the "dumb" questions.

Very interested in opinions on the braking issue regarding this 01 Tacoma TRD 4cyl. It almost feels like a "thump" when I come to a complete stop. It is like the back end of the truck is catching up with the front and you feel the slight jerking motion when it does.

Thoughts, suggestions or advice appreciated.

Thank you.

It's the dreaded axle wrap that Tacos are notorious for. Worn rear springs are a major cause for that. Also, you may want to grease the zerks, u-joint, etc on the driveshaft, that will help to alleviate the "clunking".

Major maintenance is done at 30K miles.
