Hi there i was wondering if anybody had any problems with the 07 belt tensioner, our cas has been squealing and its getting annoying so i checked it out today and the belt could use a little tension to it i doubt any of the pulleys are bad its only got 10k on it so is there any way to tighten the belt or is it self adjusting? thanks

well this is my last shot of getting any sort of help from anyone on here but can anyone at least tell me if this is true "if the belt tensioner is leaking oil/grease then it is bad, if not then it is most likely not bad?"

the timing belt will auto adjust but only to a certain level.
However the timing belt will never ever make a squeaking noise.

Just some questions, is the squeaking sound persistent ?

does it make more noise when cold, and gradually reduce ? or just stop making noise after 1 - 2 mins ?

A lot of time, it is the AC or the generator belt which may get dirty and make noise.

I suggest u clean those belts
Check the thread alignment
tighten the belts
