I was trying to change the oil on my 2007 corolla, but found out that I took off the wrong drain plug. I loosened the drain plug on the right side of the engine and an oil colored substance came out, but it looks like the drain plug for the oil is on the left side of the engine when facing it. So what did I just drain????

You drained transmission fluid. Be careful you dont mess up that plug it's kind of gentle.
