I didn't even get to 1000 miles before I started to notice my trans slipping inbetween 2-3rd gear. I did a search and it seems with the 06-07 models they had a TSB to resolve the problem, does anyone know of a remedy for 08 models?

The '08 model have a different transmission and aren't affected like the pre-'08 models.

It sounds like you have what Toyota calls a shift flare. They had that problen with 07 Camry with the same U660E trans as the 08 Avalon. They had a trans ecm reprogram or a trans replacement to fix the problem.
I checked and didnt find any Bulletins for the 08 Avalon trans for a shift flare.

Well, they determined that I DO have a flare up in the tranny, they replaced the trans with a new one, I bitched and complained that this should not happen on a brand new car, so they extended the power train warrenty to 6 years /1000,000 miles.
