Hello everyone, I'm a new member and this is my first post.

I recently purchased a 1980 Toyota Corona for a commuter car. The temperature here in Iowa, dropped into the negatives last week and the heater in my Corona wouldn't get warm. This weekend I purchased a thermostat and gasket and replaced the old one that appeared to be stuck open. I put the thermostat housing on and began to tighten the bolts. I got them both fairly tight and went back to give them one last little tightening. Upon doing this the housing cracked (evidently I don't know my own strength), I've called every parts store I know and no-one has this part, not even the Toyota Dealership. Most parts stores sell a thermostat housing (water Outlet) for a 1979 Corona with the same size engine (20R). I called several parts stores to see if I could use this part on my 1980, and no- one seems to know? Any help would really be appreciated.
