Hi folks

I misplaced my Owner's manual for my 1987t. As I recall there is a way to disable the headlight motor leaving the lights in the up position. This is so you can work on them without having to worry about losing a finger - the motors are quite powerful. I can't remember how to do it. I tried pulling the relay marked "head" and or the fuses for the headlights. Neither affected the motor.

There are the manual cranks to lift or lower each light individually but that's only for if there is no power or the motor dies. I want the lights on while I work on it.

Thanks,
Gerald

Never mind, found it in the service manual - remove RTR fuse/relay.
