Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and loaded with knowlage!

I've just purchased my first toyota and I have to say i'm blown away with my hiace super custom.(Even the names cool) Yes she's quite old but she looks perfect outside, underneath and in!
I need as much info as possible about this motor, from getting the best fuel economy (all these buttons) to where to get parts and accesories from, tips on what to do and what not to!

Any info on this great motor would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Steadyrollingman

If yours is an import from Japan (JDM) (Japan Domestic market) You will likely have a real "Cream puff"
I have a 91. 60,000Km. drove it to California.nice!! My only advice would be, not much over 100k/h please.
NEVER let it overheat. If it is a JDM all electricals will be 24 volt.......... enjoy!!!!!!!!!

YOu think they're gone at 110K? That's fairly low mileage to start thinking a car is getting worthless, don't you think?

by way of clarification, my comment "not much over 100k/h"makes reference to the driving speed. When I replied to a non american post I forgot. It should read " not much over 100km/h (60mph) That engine should easily go 350-400K miles........ if you don't abuse it

Thanks for the clarification ...makes total sense to me now! I have to get better with the translations so thanks for the patience.

I have one of those, although you don't specify what size the body is. Mine is the jumbo with the high roof and I get around 25 mpg. It has a leaky injector so if I fixed that it might improve.
