I have a 1990 pickup (4x4 ext cab) that when turning left, I hear a bang. This only happens when going left. Is this a ball joint, or anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, Chad

is it a bang or a clicking sound? if its clicking its probably your cv joint. but if its a bang thats most likley in your suspension

It could be the CV joint. Is it worse when the hub is locked or unlocked? (or do you have ADD?)

Hi!

Do not know if u found out what the problem was, but i had the same problem on my 1995 Hilux 2.4D.
On my car it was the Gearbox rubber mount, located on the rear of the gearbox.

If you have the same rubber mount as me, it was 2 steel plates with moulded in rubber blocks between.
The rubber had "cracked" and fallen out, the result was a "bang" / "clonk" when i turned.

Sorry for the bad english, not my native language you might say!

Regards

Even
