I have a 91 toyota pickup with a 22RE. During a slow (real slow) steady acceleration (in neutral or under load) everything is fine, regardless of RPM. Motor runs perfect. The problem is when you push accelerator quickly, regardless of RPM, motor stalls and as soon as you release pedal motor returns to normal running cond. All internal componets are in good cond and compression is excellent. Truck has been running fine until wire harness to O2 sensor was worn through when it fell on drive shaft. Wires have been spliced back together with no engine lights on or codes stored. ANY IDEAS ON THIS ONE.

I would make sure the wiring is correct, next to that, take a look at the MAFS and TPS. Also might be a good idea to pull the codes since all it takes is a paper clip.

I'd check/replace the fuel filter for starters, it's a common cause of your symptom.

clean the throttle plate free of carbon and the four vacuum lines over top of the valve, AFTER you clean the throttle plate. Make certain you are getting vacuum through these.

Id make sure the o2 wire harness is still wired right (its possible you crossed some wires when you spliced it) and if thats checks out OK Id suspect its a TPS issue.
