Hey All- Just stumbled onto this group; I'm hoping someone can help-- My 92 with 110k has been leaking small amts of oil for 20k miles or so. Never a lot. The most I get down is a quart when I change it. But still a hassle. I asked the guys who change it if they knew where it was coming from. They said they weren't sure because oil was everywhere, but seemingly the head. Recently, I starting losing my power steering fluid. 6 months or so. At first, a little; now, it is downright pouring out. I need to add it almost everytime I get in. Is it possible that these 2 problems are related? Could it be the gasket again? The recall service was originally done at 65k-- This is the first power steering issue I've ever had, so I'm new to this one. One more quick question.. I need a new rear bumper. Just hit too many rocks and trees with the original (funny how those can sneak up on you). For this model, there are 2 versions of the bumper. They are labeled as With 15x7 wheels and Without 15x7 wheels. Sorry if this is sounding dumb, but how do I know what I need? I even asked the dealer - twice - this question and was told "not sure". Not very helpful. I bought the ride with the crappy little stock car tires on the standard rims. I was able to upgrade to the 31x10.5 truck tires tho, on the same rims. I still have the original size spare underneath (I don't think the 31x10.5 would fit.) Does this help? Is this clear to anyone what bumper I need? Also, are the only places to buy parts the dealership or online at sites like autobodypartsonline.com? What happened to junkyards? Can't seem to find any in the SF Bay area. Sorry for the book. Thanks with any thoughts you can provide. Glad I found you-- By the way, I LOVE THIS TRUCK! Mark

The bumper size relates to wether you have the wide pack or not. The wide pack has flares and the 265/75R15 or 31x10.5R15 tires on 15x 7JJ rims. These were alloy rims. The lower spec non wide pack has 16 x 6 inch steel rims. The flares stick out by about 2 inches and are made of fiberglass. Cant help with the oil/fluid HTH Ron

Sounds like you have two independent problems going on there. The oil is probably from your front crank seal. They do wear out, start leaking and need to be replaced at about the mileage you're at now. When you have the crank seal replaced, have the rear seal done at the same time...it will save you $$$ in labor costs. Your power steering pump is also leaking. The seals on those only last about 90,000 miles, then the pump needs to be replaced. Not a huge expense, but if you run out of fluid, then you could have real problems. Hope this helps.... good page to find out http://www.4lo.com/4LoCalc.htm 265/75R16 is about 31.5 however if you go out and measure with a ruler across the tire, it will not even be close :) thats normal, even a 31 x 10.5R15 measures only 29 inches on the rim. It must be the way the tire salesmen rip us off. If you want bigger tires, you will have to go to the store and try them on for size. If I am correct, it will be the front tire lift to the max on hard lock (not sure if left or right) and it will rub on the mud flap if its to small. Ron
