Hello

I just inherited a 1992 Toyota Pickup - 5 Speed manual - 4x4 - 3 litre OHFI 6 cyl. and I am wanting to find out a couple of things.
As I have never owned a truck (always wanted, now I have) I am wondering what the normal running RPMs on the Tach should be at when I am travelling 100 kmh (Canada) in 5th gear if everything on the truck was factory.
Currently I am at 2750 rpm and have not known a vehicle to run that high (however, I have only ever owned manual cars before).
The truck sat in a barn for the past 3 years and we have invested a good chunck of change in ensuring this vehicle has a new lease on life.
We have changed the fluids, air filter, fuel filter, fluid caps, shocks, ball joints, drivers side drive axle, pcv valve, etc. I had a mechanic check for vacuum leaks and he advised there were none.
I love the truck, it is everything I wanted and hoped for (right down to the winch and sewer pipe bumper). I have read the manual and there is no information on this.

Thanks

Toy Girl

That's about the speed my 4 cylinder 22re turns at 60 MPH. I'd normally expect a truck with a larger engine to be geared to turn a little slower at that speed, but I have no experience with the 6 cylinder Toys.
