(IMG:style_emoticons/default/s10.gif) Ok so i just bought a 1994 3.0 4x4 a/t. It has had the rear main seal changed supposedly... well someone fff ed it up pretty good.
My problem is this 1st it won't even shift into 4wheel drive at all, not a nudge. I looked at the linkage and it seems fine. The trans itself is not adjusted right but can't get the bolts free to be able to adjust it.
I also looked over the vacuum line to see if that was the problem but all looks fine. The truck only has 114,000 on it runs real strong but this auto trans is killing me. I got this truck really cheap almost too cheap, knew it had issues from the get go. Like the fact someone definitely drove it through salt water the whole rear frame is thin and weak, but fixable.

Ok 2nd the check engine light has been on since i bought it. I thought it could be do to the fact it was leaking fuel out of the sending unit and not getting correct pressure but it didn't work.
I disconnected the battery for awhile to try to reset it but still on, so i guess it is something else don't know what because the truck runs great.
Can some tell me how to pull the code on a 1994 3.0 4x4??? Thanks
