We just bought a used 1996 Tercel. Having hesitation problems and have had just about everything that typically casues this issue replaced... new fuel filter, plugs, wires, had a vacuum test, etc. I hear this is a classis symtom, but can't find an answer. Any ideas?

Remove your air intake hose at the plenum and make sure the area around the baffle is clean and the baffle can move freely.

As well, replace your PCV valve ($5).

Let us know if this makes any difference.
