I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 3.4 Liter. The truck wants to jerk a little bit when I am climbing a hill or pulling a load in higher geared situations. I put a new clutch kit in it and found that the flywheel had a pretty good bit of burn spots on it. This clutch kit still did not cure the problem. I have put new spark plugs and spark plug wires from the dealer on the truck and still did not help it. I have checked the mass air flow sensor, TPS sensor, Oxygen Sensors, & Vacuum Hoses. Everything checks out good. I don't know if maybe I have got the transmission in too high of a gear when the truck is not going fast enough yet and the truck is just bogging down a liitle bit. If anybody has any ideas or suggestions please E-Mail me back at hhjayally2@hotmail.com. Thanks

You're not supposed to tow in 5th gear. Highest gear to tow in is 4th gear and no faster than 50 mph

How fast you tow depends on the load. But we need more detail of the problem next to a "jerk".

Also, when you change a clutch (I am assuming it's a manual here), the flywheel should be inspected and replaced/resurfaced.

You obviously never read your owner's manual, otherwise you'd know what I said was correct.

Id suspect dirty injectors or perhaps the fuel filter is partially plugged. Id agree that towing in 5th gear probably isnt a good idea. I dont have the owner's manual handy, but all it takes is a little common sense to know that with a truck that only has 190-hp, asking it to tow in 5th is asking a lot of it.
Its not like it has a lot of horsepower under the hood, so it needs to be in a lower gear so that the engine isnt lugging all the time.
