I have a 1997 Lexus 450 and I am trying to figure out the towing capacity. The owners manual says there are two possibilities, 3500lbs and 5000 (with the tow package). I am not sure how to find out if my SUV has the tow package. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find this out?

I guess the best way to know is for you to try it out. But as fas as I know, the Lexus 450 can tow up to 5000 lbs.
