Help me please!! I have a 1998 Tacoma 4 cyl. 4x4.
I bought it six months ago and have put quite a few
miles on it. About two months ago a little problem
started. Every now and then the truck would seem to
hickup. Since this would happen every couple of weeks, I
didn't think much about it. Now it's happening a couple
of times a day. I've had a new fuel filter put on,
an oil change and tune-up. Problem is still there
but has diminished some. On the advice of a couple of
friends I let the gas get as far down as I could, then
put in some Dry Gas and switched to a better gas
dealer. The problem has gotten better. This makes me
think it's the gas I was putting in. I'll admit that
I'm cheap and have recently bought cheap gas, hence
the increase in the hickup a couple of weeks ago.
Has anyone ever experienced this type of problem or
heard of it?
Any thought anyone has is welcome.
