Can someone tell me where the flasher unit is located on a '98 Tacoma (2WD Auto)? The local Auto Zone sold me the traditional 'silver can' thermal flasher unit but I can't locate a similar unit on this vehicle anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

Scott

It's either under the dash or behind the driver's side kick panel on the left. I can't recall correctly.

I've checked under the dash and behind the kick plate on the driver' side. I didn't see anything that looked like the traditional silver can style flasher unit.

I did see, just below the fuse panel, a white, rectangular unit labled relay integrator. I wonder if that could be the combination turn signal/hazard flasher/headlight & keys beeper unit. Before I purchase one, does anyone know for sure?

Lemme ask around and I'll get back to you. I've recently sold my Taco and can't dig around, but I'll try to do some searching for you.

maybe try these:

The flasher relay is in Junction Box #1, which is located to the left of the steering column, under the dash. Below is a diagram.
