Hello I also own a 2001 corolla I installed a light in my glove box last week I used a presure switch to turn the light on and off and i used a rectangular shaped license plate light. i placed the presure switch on the left side of the glove box. first remove the glove box: 3 screwes on the top and 2 on the bottom then then drill a whole on the frame that came out with the glive box: left side 2/3 of the way up you will also need to drill a whole in the steel brace that holds the glove box frame so that the presure switch can pass. insert , bolt in and wire the presure switch you will need to link and wire from the fram of the car to the presure switch since it's not bolted onto stell and run the other wire comming from the presure switch to the light in the glove box next run a wire from the light in the glove box to the the battery and put everything back in place and your done
let me know if your having trouble i'll email you pics
