The new 2001 Previa has come out in Japan, Switzerland, Australia and maybe more countries. Its called the Previa in Australia, a Turago in Switzerland, and an Estima in Japan.

The Previa is the best mini van in the world, now offering a 6cylinder or dual overhead cam 4cylinder. There are some options that the Japanese version has that I don't see on the ones sold in other countries. The Jap version can have a flip down flat screen TV, parking sensors in the front and rear, a navigation system, wood and leather, 2 sun roofs, and many other options like a sports package and luxury package.

The Japanese pictures are here:
http://www.toyota.co.jp/Showroom/All_toyota_lineup/Estima/index.html<\ /a>

I hope this van comes out in the US and replaces the sienna, but there is no word on that yet.

I saw the photos of the taraga and I was wondering if it retained the same engine placement (under the front seats) as the older previa? In the photos it looked as if they were able to push the floor under the front seats even closer to flush with the rest of the car. If they did so and put a V6 in I am amazed.
