YESTERDAY I WENT FOR AN INSPECTION WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON THE MANCHANIC RAN A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK AND IT TOLD HIM THAT THE CATALAC SYSTEM NOT READY SO HE RESET THE COMPUTER TOLD ME TO DRIVE 30 MILES AND COME BACK AN WE WILL TAKE IT FROM THERE. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT I WINED UP DRIVING 180 MILES TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM OF THE CATAYLAC SYSTEM HAD CLEAR AND IT DID'NT THE PROBLEM GOT WORST. HE TOLD ME THAT NOW THE OTHER SENSORS WERE NOT WORKING AND THAT HE NEVER SEEN THAT HAPPEN HE SAID THE SENSOR WERE FINE WHEN HE FIRST RAN THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE MANCHANIC THINKS THAT I MAY NEED TO GET THE COMPUTER REPROGRAM. ANY ADVICE?

Have them check for a leaking exhaust manifold.

Did you go to an approved garage? Did he plug in the computer under your dash? If so, get the codes. You can send the codes here and I will tell you the meaning. Just to warn you, a 2001 might need replacement parts in the exhaust system, they can include and are not limited to:
Exhaust gaskets, Pipes and clamps, Oxygen sensors (O2 Sensor) depending on you model you could have three of them, Resinator and Muffler and of course your Catalytic Converter. all of which is $$$
