I need some help folks.

First, my highlander is throwing a code that says the catalytic C is bad. I can't find an after market one anywhere, does anyone know where I can find one? $600 just for the CC through the dealer. Just an FYI - I had some small work done on the car 3 weeks back and I told the mechancic that the engine light was one because of the CC. He asked how I knew and I told him a dealer and another private mechanic confirmed. Some odd reason the last still has not come back on since he worked on it. I know that the code is reset once the battery is disconnected but this seems like an awful long time.

Also, I just recently changed the rear brakes and now when I back up there is a clicking with every full rotation. i think it has somethign do with the E brake, but I am not sure.

Any help would be wonderful.

Hello there, the cat. conv. on your highlander is part of the exhaust manifold(it appears as yours is the 4 cyl. model). About your only option is to get the part from the dealer. if you have any knowledge of basic mechanics, this is an easy easy job, the only real problem will be if the oxygen sensor will come out!! save about 3 hours of labor!! Or, if you know a REALLY good exhaust guy, he might be able to weld something up for you.....but he'd have to be REALLY REALLY good! good luck!
