wondering what kinda problems id possibly run into at 125,000k, and how often is truly best to change oil?

any other tips for a guy whos new with cars is greatly appreciated

Check the link below using the drop down menus to see what needs to be serviced. But I would say make sure the timing belt has been changed as well as the tranny fluid. As for the interval between oil changes, well it depends what kind of driving you do. If you do a lot of stop and go driving and travel less than 5 miles each trip then I would change the oil every 3K miles. If you do a lot of highway driving then 5-6K miles would be fine. Oil needs to get to "operating" temperature or it will start to collect moisture... that would be bad.
