Hi all,

I bought this car back in 2005 and it never had a cigarette lighter. It has the hole and a cap to close it but nothing else. I tried to buy the Cigarette lighter unit from Advanced Auto Part but turns out I need more than just the lighter. There has to be a unit which goes into that hole and then the cig. lighter will fit in that.

So I was wondering if someone can please let me know where I can get the whole unit and what it is called... I even looked on eBay but they had only the lighter and not the unit it goes in it...hope it makes sense...

well some cars are equiped with extra 12v outlets which are NOT cig lighters...Make sure thats not the case , usually those are the ones with the covers on them...

Thanks for your reply. Mine is the one with cover on it...it's a little plastic cap to close the outlet... How would i find the unit to install myself?
