My sister & bro in law just purchased a 2006 Sienna but failed to completely do their homework and ended up a little disappointed with the auto door feature. I have not seen the van yet but per their description the passenger side door has an auto close feature by pushing a button inside the vehicle by the door but it doesn't auto open (which is what my sister really wanted). I would have to assume if it auto closes that there must be some way to make it auto open. Obviously other models (likely higher end) open & close. Are they missing something where theirs may open but they don't know how to do it? They also said some they looked at did it from the key fob - theirs doesn't have that feature. From the little bit of searching I did it sounds like this iauto door opening/closing s a nice feature but sounds like lots of people have issues with the cable breaking. Any help anyone could give me would be appreciated. Thanks.
