Hi all-

Newbie here. I searched this topic but didn't find anything. Maybe my search terms weren't well-chosen. At any rate, I'd love to hear from anybody about getting front mud flaps for my 2007 Tacoma 2WD Access cab. There's currently a light mud streak from normal driving (I don't offroad) from the back of the front wheel well to the front of the back wheel well. Clearly I'd like to address this - first light mud/dirt coating, next will be rock chips.

I called my selling dealer (great price on a new Tacoma; service is debatable) who said they don't exist for 07's. I called a closer dealer (not great prices on new ones but I've had good experience with service there in the past) and asked if they existed for an 06 that'd fit an 07. He said that the part number is 7662104092; there didn't seem to be one for each side, but that the things would be something in the $90 EACH range.

With the part number, I checked a few online places and found that part number for less than $60, so I'm biased that way but don't want to buy online, get the things, find out they don't work (or look substantially different than the rears) and have to deal with the hassle of returning them to an online vendor.

Question - does anybody know if it can be done/have experience with putting front mud flaps for a 2006 Tacoma on a 2007? Will they look the same as the rears on my 07? Why wasn't this an option in the first place?

As a completely unrelated issue, why do you have to buy an SR5 package to get intermittent wipers (seems odd - I didn't want all the SR5 stuff and don't believe that the extra 1000 was worth it for the intermittent wipers).

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Best,

Dave
