I have a 2007 Rav4 and my gas light is consistently coming on when I still have about 4 gallons of gas left. I have heard from other people that have the Rav4 that their car is doing the same. Toyota said they won't fix the problem. Is anyone else having this same issue?

How is this a problem? When would you like the light to come on? 4 gallons will give you enough mileage to get to the nearest gas station on a long trip. BTW, you shouldn't be letting the tank get down too low everytime because it will foul up the fuel pump and pick up gunk that has settled on the bottom of the tank.

Yep. Mine comes on around 288 miles with atleast 3 gallons left.

It beats running out of gas all together though.

I usually have around 2.5 gallons in mine when I fill up. My Scangauge usually says I have about 60 miles to go before Im out. I never trust it tho. I guess I just hate walking with a gas can.
