Thanks for such a detailed post...never had much love for this vehicle just because there were others with better qualities...this looks very interesting and appealing.

Initially we were thinking of buying a Rav4 but the color and model we wanted had to be preordered and the waiting time was 3 months. Thanks for the review, it's very helpful

I drove one in Europe last year that I liked, but the cornering was a little unsteady.
Anyone read in the reviews whether or not this is still a concern?

I have never hear of that as being a major problem, ...on another note, waiting 3 months for a car is insane.

Some of the smaller SUVs which are lighter and taller seem to not corner so well.

Yeah, three months is a long time but when I looked at the FJ Cruisers it was sort of the same thing.

Sometime you got to wait. I got mine site unseen two days out of port. Its the best I love this auto.

Can you get the manual tranny w/ the V6 overseas? I'd be surprised but that would rock. On a different note. What's up with this forum, all these post seem old and there's no action here. What gives???
