I just test drove a new 2007 Toyota Tundra. The power is amazing. I have a 2003 2500hd right now, but I plan on trading it in. What kinda gas milage have people been getting?

In these years, those mpg are pretty standard. Theres not really much wiggle room for mgp when you have a 5.7 pushing so much hp. They all draw in the same amount of air and in doing so require the same amount of fuel to burn it. Gearing and weight are going to be the only things that matter in the years to come when it comes to mgp in trucks.

Toyota has a real advantage with their engine technology though. With dual overhead cams, 32 valves and variable valve timing, Toyota has the most efficient engine design in the industry. GM and Dodge need to step it up and come up with something better than OHV, 8-valve engines and Ford needs to get with the modern era and ditch the SOHC V8s.

I THINK ILL GET MORE NOW THATS ITS GOT A LITTLE MILAGE ON IT. BUT EVEN WHEN I WAS PLAYING ROUGH I GOT NO LOWER THAT 18MPG. YOU GOTTA LOVE THE POWER WITH THAT KIND OF MILAGE. CANT BEAT TOYOTA.
