Hello,
I recently replaced my timing chain and sprokets on my 91 4x4. I installed everything according to the manual and when i try to start it, it just spits and sputters but wont run. If i move the distributor like 2 teeth past tdc it will run but not very good. have tried everything please help.

Sounds like either the chain or the distributor may be off a tooth.

I heard that once you line up the bright links with the marks on the Timing chain sproket they change if you run it. Is this true?
