Hi people, ime in the process of getting a new turbo for my truck as current one is scrap.
Ide like to know how to go about disabling and doing away with the EGR valve system and also
increasing the boost pressure (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

For EGR try here:

Did you find a good source for used CT20 turbos? I might be in the market for a turbo and manifold off a 2L-t for my 2.8 Litre Hiace.

Cheers
Pard

Hey Pard, if you manage to do this mod of turbocharging the 2.8, please take lots of photos of each stage and document it as I might follow the same course - and no doubt others would be interested too.

I think you'll need to find a variable rate injector pump - not sure if the 2L one will work - you may have to get it adjusted to flow more fuel. Might be an idea to find out relative sizing between the 2L and the 3L injectors, and bear in mind you'll need to go up in pipe size on your exhaust as well. The stock exhaust will be WAY too restrictive.

In any case, this would be a great project. The 2.8 suffers on the hills and I think having a wok hooked on would make all the difference.
