My 1990 Toyota Pickup has the 3.0 liter V6 automatic trans (30-80LE) with integrated transfer case. I just threw in a slightly used tranny but before doing so, I removed both pans (one) to replace the trans filter and pan gasket just to be safe and (two) had to change over the valve body inside the the transfer case. The entire transmission/transfer case is completely emptied of all fluid. Filling the transmission is easy enough, but how the hell do you fill the transfer case. There's what appears to be a fill plug on the backside of the transfer case a couple inches from the rear driveshaft yoke. Here's the thing, though - that fill plug looks as if it sits either level or just below the actual transfer case pan. I think it's just there in order to check the fluid level. Need to get this puppy back on the road asap so if anyone has any suggestions, hit me up! Thanks a million.
