Driving home tonight a beeping alarm sounded and skid warning light lit up and I lost control of the vehicle other words lost steering, brakes and went across yellow line if I had met someone it would have been a headon. After about 3 seconds regain control. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) I was only doing 40 going down a slight grade. Is there a recall about this ? I am afraid to drive the **** thing

I haven't heard of that before. Have you checked the NHTSA site for recalls, etc?

Your post is confusing! Not that it is the most important item but what year and model is your 4runner?

"lost steering" you mean you couldn't turn the wheel? Turning the didn't change your course of direction? You lost traction?
"lost brakes" brake system lights came on? What happened when you pressed the brake pedal?
"went across yellow line" you were in a curve? on straight road my 4runner tracks straight.
Only time i ever had anything like what i think you are describing was on a snowy back road i hit a section of black ice.
I would really like to hear what happens with this!
