Hello, I'm new to the site and thank you for helping people in need like myself. My problem is my 4runner had bad battery connectors, I know this because I was getting the click when I would try to start. I went under the hood and sure enough my cable ends were both corroded and loose. I took them off, cleaned the battery and replaced the ends. Now when I open the door there is a click, click, click, click, click. Very rythmic, without me doing anything. and all the corner marker lights flash in unison with the click. after a while the flashing and clicking stops. when I try to start it again nothing happens, and the clicking and flashing resumes. The clicking and flashing usually last for about 30 to 45 sec. there is also a little red light on the dash just left of the steering wheel that also flashes, this looks aftermarket. any help you can give will be greatly appraciated. sorry for the bad spelling and gramar (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

It sounds like you have an after market car alarm on you vehicle. When you get in the car put the ignition key in and turn it. If it is an after market alarm the red blinking light should go out. You may also have to check the wires connection on the starter to make sure they are clean.
