Hi guys... Ive noticed a 73 series landcruiser at a great price. Its a mid wheel base, with an FRP top. What do you guys know about these vehicles? I think i still prefer the slightly larger 6 cylinder diesel 60 series, as compared to the 4 of the 73series. Short wheel bases (or mid as the case may be) have always been a soft spot for me... Have you heard anything bad about these? (or good) are they good offroad, stable, adapt well to mods, etc... Appreciate you input... Leeroy

Hi Leeroy... Kind of a late reply, but I only joined today... I have just purchased an FJ73 of my own... 1986 with the 3F (4 litre 6) on LPG, with a/c, power steer, lift kit, chrome wheels, BFG TAs... all the gear! Had to replace the front screen and do a little rust in the windscreen frame, but apart from that... nothing serious. Great car at a great price... rides really nice, compared to an FJ40 anyway ;-) Go for it if you can... there are a couple of diesels (3.4 4 cyl) for sale in Melbourne that I know of... but the petrol versions are sixes. Regards, Norm PS The Bundera had coil springs and 4 cylinders (petrol & diesel)... didn't they?
