hey my name is mitch i just bought a 1983 toyota cressida. i have a 5m motor straight 6 cylinders. having trouble i was driving it and i was giving it a lot of throtle but was lossing lots of power, its started to stutter, and eventually just died. wondering if anybody could help me out. me and some friends pushed started it, ran fine for about one minute then died again. the lights flicker when keys are in ignition. the engine wasnt turning over. can anybody help me!!!

Sounds like a flaky ignition switch to me. Switches wear out not only from usage, but from keys hanging from the switch.
