bring lots of money (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

lots of options depending on your budget
big power gains from a 4AGE cost bucks

best way to increase power is an engine swap
first thing you want to do is start checking out the MR2 forums.
if your new to MR2's,
start with www.mr2oc.com
read everything you can find about engine upgrades and swaps,
common swaps
(in order of power gain)
'88 - '89 SC swap
black top swap
silvertop swap
MK2 Turbo swap (aka a MK1.5)

go through the suspension, brakes, drive train, engine etc.,
replace/upgrade any worn or broken parts,
just a full tune up with good quality (many of us swear by OEM) parts will often make
a noticable difference in performance
prepare to be frustrated, occasionally po'd, and down right fed up,
hating the car one minute, loving it the next
and possibly obssessed with the thing

learn to drive the little **** to the absolute best of your ability,
nothing feeds the ego like rolling through a corner watching the guy in the big $$, megamotor, whatever who's
been riding your **** get all big eyed and white knuckled when he realises you are just cruisin' along drama free and he's gonna be lucky to
just stay in his lane

understand she will be hugely rewarding to drive well but will have absolutley no hesitation about biting you in the ****,
(don't worry, happens to all of us from time to time)

then decide if you really want more power and how much

all the time remembering that it's a 23 year old car and all that that entails

and did I mention Money, she'll give a whole new meaning to "High Maintenance"

above all, don't be discouraged
all the pain, suffering, money and frustration will be worth it the first time you make a
perfect run through your favorite set of twisties
