Hi I bought an 87 toy pickup that is auto with the push button overdrive. The problem is someone took off the kickdown linkage bracket that is on the carb. May also be called a throttle cable bracket. Not sure on that. I cant even find a picture of one to see if it can be made. If anyone has any advise, pictures or one for sale would appreciate it greatly.

If you can't find anything, something like a bicycle brake cable might work with a little fabrication. I kind they sell kickdown cable linkage kits for Mopar. You might make that work.

I'll take a pic of mine IF I can remember to.

And yes, the real name for the kick-down cable is throttle cable.

If you have a pick n pull around where you live you could try there, or just about any wrecking yard

Thanks to everyone for your help. I was told by a mechanic that a bracket off an 85 celica and a 82 supra would work too. I have called at least 50 junkyards and auto salvage places and no one has this bracket. Again thanks for all the help.

Thanks Fourwd1 for the pics. Is there any way you could send me pics of the carb so I can see how the cable hooks in. Thanks if you can. This truck is a pain in the butt. If we ever get every thing back like it should be will be a great little truck. Floyd
