Where is the PCV valve located?

On the passenger side valve cover. Ya, under the intake manifold. I don't know if you can remove it without removing part of the intake manifold, never tried. Maybe if you have really small hands.

was scared that was the answer. i can touch it. getting it out and putting a new one in might be another story. thanks for the info!!!

My PCV valve is on the top of the head cover ?!? 85 toyota 22R connects directly to the carb.
