I drive a 90 Corolla SR5 Coupe. Im not too sure as to what the problem could be so Im gonna describe what is happening. My car is having problem shifting between the 1st and 2nd gear. This only happens between the 1st and 2nd. When Im Shifting it feels like there is something blocking between the 1st and 2nd (mainly the 1st gear, a lot of times I have to jam on the shifter to get it in to 1st.) Here is the weird part. As I am slowing down the slower I get the easier it is to shift between 1st and 2nd. Finally when I come to a stop, whatever it was that was blocking between 1st and 2nd its gone. I say from 5mph to stop it starts disappearing. Any idea as to what the problem is?

Sounds like the gear may be off timing. Take it to your mechanic before things really get messed up! The last thing you want is to have to replace the whole transmission.
