I'm trying to find a boot cover for my 91 celica convertible, does anyone have any ideas where i can find one.

I have a 1993 Celica convertible (same body, 5th Gen), and I am also looking for a new boot cover. I haven't had any luck yet. Even Toyota parts no longer has them in inventory.

Let me know if you ever found one, and what your source was.

If you do a search on Toyota Celica Convertible Boot, You will come across some e-bay adds of a compnay in California. They have what you need. Better price than the dealer. I am looking for a Tan boot. I actually found the original owner of the cars phone number and he says he still has it some place along with a factory tech manual. Heh.

Thank-you for the quick response, Johnny0807. I had already done a search, as you suggested. And yes, ebay does have companies that sell convertible boots, even in California. But I could not find any that had convertible boot available for the 1991-1993 5th Gen. series Celicas. They had them for eariler & later models, but not for this group. At least I couldn't find one. If you know of a specific company, web address, or e-bay seller that you know does supply them, I'd like to get that information from you, because I just haven't found it yet. Maybe at one time a business on e-bay did have these boots, but no longer does? Not sure, but I can't seem to find one now.

Sounds like you had better luck by finding your car's original owner that still had the stuff. I wonder if I could try to do the same.

I found one for my 93 Celica, CMBPHOTO. But I was lucky. I found a person trying to unload a 93 Celica convertible on e-bay without a title, and was is very rough shape, and was auctioning it off as a parts donor vehicle. In the description of the car, it said it had the original boot. I contacted him and asked him if the person that wins that auction for the car wasn't all that interested in the boot, I would be interested in buying it from him separately. And it worked out that way. I haven't seen it yet, save for a picture of it, as it is being shipped to me now. Except for being dirty, it sounds and looks to be in fantastic condition. I'll have to wait until I actually see it though.

Other than this piece of luck, I was not able to find a boot of any kind for this 5th Gen. Celica. Doesn't appear as if they are being made by aftermarket suppliers, so your only way that I know of is to check e-bay periodically and hopefully you will find one at some point. You can put a watch out on e-bay for a boot, and when one matching your description comes along, you will get an automated e-mail telling you such. It worked a couple of times for Celica boots, but the e-mails I got were both for 4th Gen Celicas.

By-the-way, the Toyota part number for our particular boot is 02315-86108. It has an MSRP of $979.45 from Toyota. Even if you did want to spend that kind of money, it doesn't appear to be available anymore. I had 2 Toyota dealers check, and when they looked, they said there were none available in any US distribution center.
