Trouble began with 5th gear popping out two weeks ago. What to have checked?
Now some grinding into gears, unable to get into gear at times. Loose gears.
Transmission fluid. I guess it has been checked when I pay for oil and filter change and lube?
Steps to solution. Six years ago same problem. Pd transmission shop $750.
Oil has been leaking for some time now.

I have yet to see a lube shop check the oil level in a manual transmission. With all your problems, I am guessing the tranny is out of oil and has eaten itself. Won't know until you get it apart.

Marlin Crawler sells the best rebuilt Toyota transmissions.
