is the oil pan on this car supposed to have a gasket or not..

couple of sites say yes, couple say no..

I've tried a few things to stop it from leaking but it still leaks around the same area, both mating services are clean and smooth..

it's leaking between the block and the pan on the back passenger side where it lips forward down around the driveshaft towards the front of the car.

I have cleaned the pan on the out side both times replacing it to make sure and both times it's been in the same spot.

any information to help would be much appreciated.
