The electric mirrors on my 93 Land Cruiser rattle a lot. Is there an easy way to take the mirrors apart and fix the problem?

I drive a 94 and had the same problem. The plastic threads that hold the mirror in place were stripped/broken. I removed the mirror from the housing (by removing the screw through small hole on underside of mirror housing) and filled the screw hole with a 2 part epoxy. Before the epoxy set I screwed the screw back in a let it harden. This basically just gives the screw's threads something new to grab on to. I did this about 5 months ago and it has worked very well so far. No more shakes. Hope this helps. Good luck

Hey! This is a very good tip! Of course it takes a little more time to the normal solution I always do. I was thinking of using the always resourceful duct tape, but I guess with the epoxy the results are cleaner, better and definetly better looking! Thanks for the tip, I'll tell my friends about it.
