The console and shifter on my 94 4runner are getting warm. I haven't had it long, and wonder if this is normal for this vehicle or is it a sign of a coming problem?

I have the same problem- just noticed it after a 130 mile road trip, my 94 only has about 60,000 miles and I have not noticed the heat before. In checking underneath, the transfer case seemed very hot- the cat is right there too. The trans did not feel really hot and the fluid was fine. I'm trying to find more info on this- let me know if you come up with anything...

The engine, exhaust, tranny all create a lot of heat. Heat rises, the whole underside in that area will be warm to hot.
