I had a code for the maf and then a code for the tps and another one that said it was running lean I changed the tps and the maf and still had the problem so I changed the fuel injectors then the fuel filter then the pump and the timing chain set as well as the plug wires cap and rotor. I'm at my wits end with it. i bought it and it ran great then all the sudden I went to start it one day and it acted like it ran out of fuel so I put more in it and it never cleared up. I noticed that it was getting way to much fuel when I tried to bypass the egr valve and noticed that the huge vaccum leak i created made it start easier and run a lil better any ideas what would cause it to try and flood itself out so bad. its a 94 toyota pickup with a 22re 5speed 2 wheel drive. any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

So the computer says it's running lean, but you are sure it's flooding. Sounds like a bad O2 sensor to me. Ya change that yet?

I've pulled it out and hooked it up to an ohm meter and it reads what it should. and I'm positive its flooding out. There is fuel dripping out of the exhaust and if I provide a massive air leak on the manifold it runs alot smoother

An ohm meter is not the tell all answer to checking the O2 sensor. It could still be bad, but I don't think that is your problem as just a check engine light should come on. You sure that was fuel dripping out the back and not water from the cat?

Did you check the error code after replacing the TSP an MAF sensor? What does it say now?

A few more things to check:

1) Maybe you got a bunch of bad fuel with water in it. Might be worth dumping all the fuel out of the system and starting fresh.
2) How is your fuel pressure? A bad pump can cause low pressure and a poor spray pattern with the injectors.
3) I am unsure if the I4 has a cold start injector, but if it does, they tend to leak after 10 years or so. Take it off and run the fuel pump looking for drips.
4) How if your spark? It should be blue hot. A yellow spark will not light off the fuel.

no error code after replacing the parts and went ahead and got a new 02 sensor 140 bucks wasted And there is no water in the system all the injectors were replaced including the cold start injector. fuel pressure is superb then some. spark is great.

If you are sure it's fuel and not the normal water dripping out the exhaust, then I am stumped. I would dig into the injector system. Maybe the injectors being held open by some short. Put a volt meter across the injector wires and see if you are getting the pulse.
It might be the ECU, but I have never heard of one of them going bad.

Next to that, I can't help you from here. Take it to your Toyota dealer and have them take a look at it.

It sounds to me the egr is stuck, you cand take it off and clean it with throttle body cleaner, get all the carbon out of it and try again. Mine kinda does the same right now. I'm am going to do the same thing and also adjust valves. you should do the same if your have not been adjusted properly in a while. Misadjusted valves throw the vacuum off a great bit. Hope this helps!!!

Also pull of the fuel return line leading to tank and make sure it is open, you should be able to blow through it fairly easily.
